2020 was a highly unusual year for all of us – companies and individuals. The abnormal circumstances gave rise to challenges that we had little power to influence. How did these exceptional times affect our company internally, and what did we learn? The pandemic reduced our order book and dented our outlook for the future. However, there was an increase in the number of customised and specialist space solutions. This time has taught us the importance of planning, innovation and team spirit. Despite the challenges, we have been able to continue offering all our employees a job, and that is important to us.

Although the year has been difficult, we have been able to work on some large and unusual projects.

The largest project was the construction of a training environment for the Finnish Defence Forces. The project encompassed the customisation of seven shipping containers for different purposes. This project allowed our installation technicians to play to their strengths, and the outcome was a stunning collection of spaces.

We use prefabricated element manufacturing to create the largest space we have ever made with this manufacturing process. In the words of our installation technician: “It was like building a small home”.

We have created the specialised spaces necessitated by the exceptional situations caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Examples of the spaces we have delivered include meeting spaces and sampling spaces.

We won the national Productive Idea competition held by the Junior Chamber International Finland. This win was a brilliant, positive thing for us in an otherwise challenging year. Thanks to this win, our logo was displayed in New York’s Times Square.
