Camp Mauri in Säkylä underwent a major renovation as IntLog Oy carried out a comprehensive accommodation container renewal project.The goal of the project was to improve the functionality of the facilities and ensure they meet future needs.

A Comprehensive Upgrade in All Aspects of the Facilities

The main focus of the project was the complete renewal of six container groups. Each group consisted of eight accommodation containers, one drying container, and one ventilation container. In addition to the containers, the renewal project also covered several other key areas:

• Roof Renovation: The structure and coating of all roofs belonging to the container barracks were updated to meet modern standards.
• HVAC Technology Modernization (Heating, Water, Ventilation, and Electricity): New systems enhance energy efficiency and user-friendliness.
• Expansion Work: The container barracks and their adjacent terrace areas were expanded, providing users with improved functionality in their daily activities.
• Facility Foundations: All foundation work was carried out to ensure durability and longevity.

Dismantling and Recycling of Old Containers

The project also included the careful dismantling and removal of old containers. The removed containers were disconnected and transported from the area without damage, allowing for their future reuse. This approach aligns with the principles of sustainable development.

Precise Planning and Execution at Every Stage

IntLog Oy’s expert team managed the project from start to finish. The project required careful coordination, as the six container barrack groups comprised a total of 48 accommodation containers, 6 drying containers, and 6 ventilation containers.

The accommodation containers were designed to house four people each. Drying containers were equipped with drying rods and hooks for drying various equipment. Ventilation containers were fitted with practical double doors. The planning and implementation progressed in cooperation with Puolustuskiinteistöt, Kauttuan LVI-piste Oy, and many other subcontractors.

Functional Facilities for User Needs

The renovated accommodation containers have significantly improved the conditions at the Säkylä site. Modern space solutions provide a safe and functional environment for users, while the new HVAC technology ensures energy efficiency and comfort.
