We were assigned a project to convert a container into a sauna for a customer. The first step in building the sauna was to use the frame of the container. Our professional installation technicians had the chance to show their skills, and we are very proud of what we created. The first step in the build was to insulate the floor and build the walls. After this, we got to grips with the weatherboarding. The weatherboards were made from timber panels, giving the container an impressive appearance. The container has a fashionable black-and-grey colour scheme. Once the exterior walls were made, we got to work on the interiors. The container was insulated to make a warm space, which was separated into a sauna, washroom and changing room. After a few finishing touches were added, the container was ready. All that was left to do was to heat it up! Shall we build a sauna for you? Contact us intlog@intlog.fi

This year, we were assigned a large project that involved building a training environment from shipping containers for the Finnish Defence Forces. The project involved customising seven shipping containers. Conscripts use the training environment to take part in exercises. Each container has a separate purpose. The project advanced to practical implementation at the end of January and was completed in the summer. Each shipping container was given a unique interior. The containers were used for purposes such as storage, showers and changing rooms. When you look inside, it is hard to believe it is a shipping container. The project enabled us to capitalise on the strengths of our installation technicians, resulting in some stunning spaces. All additional components for the containers, such as stairs and ramps, were manufactured in-house. The project also involved installing roofs, which was carried out on site. The project also involved procuring the accessories used in the containers. In that sense, the project was a turnkey delivery.

2020 was a highly unusual year for all of us – companies and individuals. The abnormal circumstances gave rise to challenges that we had little power to influence. How did these exceptional times affect our company internally, and what did we learn? The pandemic reduced our order book and dented our outlook for the future. However, there was an increase in the number of customised and specialist space solutions. This time has taught us the importance of planning, innovation and team spirit. Despite the challenges, we have been able to continue offering all our employees a job, and that is important to us. Although the year has been difficult, we have been able to work on some large and unusual projects. The largest project was the construction of a training environment for the Finnish Defence Forces. The project encompassed the customisation of seven shipping containers for different purposes. This project allowed our installation technicians to play to their strengths, and the outcome was a stunning collection of spaces.

Our customisation work is in full swing, and our production hall is full of QuickSpace containers. We are currently working on an ice cream kiosk, four info containers and a glass-walled container. The ice cream kiosk will be customised with one hatch and a small platform outside. The info containers will have two hatches. The glass-walled container will be fitted with sliding glass walls, allowing the space to be expanded beyond the container. If required, the customer’s desired furniture and equipment can be purchased for the spaces. These spaces will be rented out, but they are being prepared according to the customer’s requirements and wishes. We aim to provide a comprehensive rental service, so we handle customisation, transportation, cleaning and insurance on behalf of the customer. We built a sampling point out of QuickSpace modules in a car park for our customer, HUS. Thanks to the foldable nature of the QuickSpace module, it was possible to implement this product in a low and compact space. The customer praised our installation technicians for the installation, which went very smoothly despite the challenging conditions! The sampling point consists of two QuickSpace modules. A WC space was built into the second module. The WC space is a separate unit built from prefabricated elements, so it can be moved to another site if necessary. It was possible to transport the entire product to the site in a large trailer. The QuickSpace module can be customised according to the customer’s requirements and wishes. If necessary, our installation technicians can come and install the spaces for the customer.
